Finishing a course isn't the same as being an engineer.
Many students finish courses knowing the syntax, yet struggle inside a real team: understanding a requirement, opening a Pull Request, taking review, writing tests, explaining a decision.
About
DevScallix is built on the experience of an engineer who builds production systems. Here, syntax is the starting point, not the goal.
Why
Many students finish courses knowing the syntax, yet struggle inside a real team: understanding a requirement, opening a Pull Request, taking review, writing tests, explaining a decision.
Many developers stay at the same level for years, because there's no clear, practical path from code towards system design and architecture. We're building that path step by step — starting with the Java Backend Career Track.
Rusif Budagov
Founder & lead instructor · Solution Architect
The story
Rusif started his career as a Java developer. Over the next 12+ years he worked as a senior engineer, technical lead and Solution Architect on banking, payments, digital lending and telecom systems.
His experience was shaped in domains that demand high reliability. In those systems mistakes are expensive: every decision has to be justified against requirements, risk and long-term maintenance.
He took the experience built in Baku to Málaga while at EPAM, and from there into international, remote teams — environments where work runs on Pull Requests, written feedback and clear documentation.

From experience to method
The program's expectations aren't arbitrary. They are lessons learned in production systems.
In payments, a small mistake can affect real money.
That's why code review, correctness and tests are the core of the program, not extras.
Banking systems live for years and get changed by other people.
That's why we teach readable code and written explanations of decisions.
International teams work through Pull Requests and written feedback.
That's why every assignment is a PR and technical terms stay in English.
Architecture has no single right answer — only trade-offs.
That's why students defend their decisions instead of saying “it works”.

International experience
Rusif's career took shape in Azerbaijani banking and payment systems. He relocated to Málaga while at EPAM and has worked across international, remote teams. Students learn to work to those standards.

Principles
No fake reviews, invented statistics or job guarantees. If something isn't decided yet, we say so.
Every topic ends with code, review and an explanation.
What you build and how you improve shows up in your Pull Request history.
It doesn't end with one course: we think about the next steps of your career too.
Learn. Build. Scale.
The founding cohort will be small and taught by the founder. Applying creates no payment obligation.
