Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about the program, admission and the academy — including what isn't decided yet.
01FAQ
Program
Do I need programming experience?
No. The Java Backend Career Track is built for people starting from zero. Admission looks at motivation, logical thinking and readiness to practise consistently — not coding. Basic computer skills are enough.
Is it online or in person?
The program runs online and is instructor-led: classes, assignments and code review. The founder, Rusif Budagov, will personally teach the founding cohort.
Does the program guarantee a job?
No. No education program can honestly guarantee a job offer. The program is designed to build the practical skills expected from a junior backend developer, and it includes interview preparation. Outcomes depend on your effort and the job market.
What language is it taught in?
Azerbaijani or English: each cohort is taught in one language, and English cohorts are for international students. The course material exists in both languages. Terms like Java, Spring Boot and Code Review stay in English, as they are used in industry.
When does it start, and what's the schedule?
The program runs for about 24 weeks (6 months). The start date and weekly schedule for the founding cohort will be announced shortly and shared with applicants first.
How much does it cost?
Monthly: 6 × 250 AZN (1,500 AZN in total), or 1,350 AZN in one payment. After acceptance you pay a 50 AZN seat reservation, which is credited toward tuition — not an extra fee. Applying is free and creates no payment obligation.
What do I need?
A personal computer where you can install software (Windows, macOS or Linux), a stable internet connection and time to practise regularly. We set up the tools together during onboarding.
How much time per week should I plan?
The program needs consistent work: classes, assignments and responding to review. The exact weekly workload will be announced with the schedule.
02FAQ
Admission & contact
What happens after I apply?
We read your application personally and get in touch using the method you chose. Where it helps, we may set up a short intro conversation or an extra assessment. Then you get the admission decision and the founding cohort details, followed by onboarding.
How will you contact me?
Using the method you pick in the form: email, a phone call or WhatsApp. We only contact you about your application. For WhatsApp messages you can also tick a separate, optional consent box.
Can I message you on WhatsApp?
Yes. Use the WhatsApp button on the contact page or in the corner of the screen — ask us anything about the program, the format or admission.
Is an intro call required?
No. A short one-to-one intro call is only scheduled when it's useful — for example, to talk through expectations. No coding involved.
Will there be a demo lesson?
We may run optional group demo lessons in the future. There are no dates yet; they'll appear on this site once announced. A demo lesson isn't part of admission and is different from an intro call.
Does applying commit me to paying?
No. Applying is free and creates no obligation. Payment starts only after an admission decision: first the 50 AZN reservation (credited toward tuition), then monthly or one payment from the date in your tuition agreement. Payment instructions come with the agreement.
How is my data used?
We use your application details only to review your application and to contact you. We don't sell data. Conversations with the AI Advisor are not stored; we only count aggregate events (for example, how many conversations started). Details: privacy policy (draft).
Can the AI submit my application for me?
No. The AI Advisor helps you prepare an application but never submits it. You review every detail, tick the consent box and press the button yourself. People make admission decisions.
When will the founding cohort details be announced?
The price is already on the program page. The start date and weekly schedule will be announced shortly, and applicants hear first. We're not promising an exact date yet.
03FAQ
Academy
How is this different from other courses?
Not by a technology list, but by the way of working. Every topic goes through Learn → Build → Review → Defend → Ship: assignments are submitted and reviewed as Pull Requests, students explain their decisions and deliver running projects. The program is led by a Solution Architect with 12+ years in banking, payments and telecom systems.
Is there an age requirement?
Applicants must be 18 or older. There is no upper age limit.
What comes after the program?
The academy is being built as a long-term career path. Further programs and an Engineering Residency are planned, but they are not open yet and have no dates.
Is the Engineering Residency a job?
No. The Residency is a planned program offering project experience in a team setting after the course. It is not a job offer, employment or a promise of work experience.
I have another question. How do I get in touch?
All our channels are on the contact page — pick whichever suits you.
Learn. Build. Scale.
Apply to the founding Java Backend cohort.
The founding cohort will be small and taught by the founder. Applying creates no payment obligation.
